Whether transitioning out of formal education and into full time work or still right into the thick of studies, being a young adult is filled with what seems like constant change. Exploring new experiences, where you fit in the world, and how to express authentic faith in God are key issues for young adults. At Rivo we are seeking to empower young adults to make wise God-inspired choices that will set habits for a lifetime through three key areas:

Church services – weekly gathering together as one faith family at AM & PM services. The PM services are led by young adults. Come along at 6PM for our church service and stay after to hang out and chat! The church service is open to all ages.

Life Groups – weekly supporting each other in groups of 5-15 people whilst learning together how to follow Jesus and put that into practice.

Events – A huge range of events that are accessible to all including: one off sporting events like Sportsfest on the Queen’s Birthday weekend; through to serving as leaders at Leavers, through to hanging out together for dinners and social nights. We do have a facebook group for those kind of events. You can request to join the group to keep up with that info here.

Sportsfest is a weekend for young adults aged 16-30 to get together down south, play sports and meet new people. Its a really great and fun weekend even if you don’t consider yourself the sporty type, as there are lots of alternative games to play! We head down to Australind on the Friday night, play sports all weekend, hear from speakers and have lots of fun meeting new friends.

The cost is $150 for the weekend and includes all your accomodation and meals, as well as entry into your sports.  This year the theme is ‘Back to the 90’s’, so be prepared to relive some classic moments from your youth.
